For the Environment MIDAC S.p.A. is committed to:

  • Continuously improve the environmental performance of its products, processes and activities by adopting the best available technologies for environmental protection
  • Protect the environment by preventing and minimizing the environmental impact of its products, manufacturing and logistics processes from a product lifecycle perspective, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, pollution prevention, mitigation of the effects of climate change
  • Operate in full compliance with applicable laws and all compliance obligations at national and local level.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK (OHS)

Management of health and safety in the workplace (HSE) is viewed by MIDAC S.p.A. as being one of the top company priorities, so it outlines policies, schedules and procedures to make its labor activities mindful of the physical and psychological wellbeing of its workers.

For the Health and Safety in the workplace MIDAC S.p.A. is committed to:

  • Continually improve its health and safety performance in the workplace by adopting the best available technologies and practices
  • Provide its employees with a healthy, safe and attractive work environment, respectful of the dignity and rights of everyone, by effectively preventing accidents and occupational diseases
  • Operate in full compliance with applicable laws and all compliance obligations at national and local level.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

MIDAC S.p.A. identifies itself in its responsibility toward social issues which is a key factor in the company success.

Starting from an environmental awareness and a solid health and safety at work policy, MIDAC S.p.A. aims at incorporating in its overall corporate policy all the cornerstone principles provided for in the SA8000 standard, which are:

  • Not to use or support child labour
  • Not to use or support forced labour
  • Respect workers’ freedom of association and right to organise
  • Not practise any form of discrimination
  • Not to use nor support disciplinary actions not provided for by the national collective employment contract
  • To guarantee maternity protection removing and reducing risks to health and safety
  • Observe the working hours required by current legislative requirements and national and local agreements
  • Pay employees according to the national collective employment contract and company supplementary contract
  • Guarantee civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of people.

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

MIDAC S.p.A. believes that the integration of the processes inherent to the areas described above is an added value. It therefore commits itself to:

  • Activate, maintain and continuously improve a Management System compliant with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, standards integrated into the company's business processes
  • Ensure the availability of resources necessary for the operation of the Integrated Management System
  • Determine the internal and external factors that are relevant to its goals and strategic directions and able to influence its ability to achieve the expected results, evaluating risks and opportunities and defining the related improvement actions
  • Monitor constantly the degree of satisfaction of its customers to improve the perceived quality
  • Monitor on a regular basis the Integrated Management System through internal Audits, to assess its compliance and effectiveness and improve its performance
  • Promote competence, awareness and participation of the staff at all levels, involving and appropriately delegating responsibilities for the management of activities related to quality, environment, health and safety.
